Shitan Uzuki first appeared as a normal doctor living on a mountain peak off Lahan Village. Like Fei, he also came to the village three years ago. Yet it was strange how a doctor from a backwater village knew so much. Throughout the game, Shitan progressively revealed his knowledge on operating gears, flying large airships, hacking into highly classified Ethos data files etc. It was not until the first meeting with Sigurd on the Yggdrasil that a clue on Shitan's past was revealed. Sigurd refered to him as "Hyuga". Hyuga Ricdeau was Shitan's truth name and he was born in Solaris as a Second Class citizen which mean that he was only slightly better off than the surface Lambs but he was still a slave notheless. It was not clear how he got into the Jugend military academy (perhaps some sort of test is conducted to discover potential Ether abilities among both Lambs and Solarian citizens) but he graduated and became a Water Element. He probably gained his amazing skills in martial arts and swordmanship at Jugend, his expertise in piloting gears and airships could also be safely assumed to be gained there as well. Being in the class of Water, Hyuga was involved in Intelligence Services and to put it simply, he was a spy. This explains how he was able to crack the Ethos headquarters' codes with ease. Hyuga, Sigurd, Ramsus and Jessiah were close friends during their stay at Jugend. Hyuga like the rest believed in Ramsus' ideals of equality and reforms but Ramsus started to change after his grevious injuries sustained at the hands of Id. I presumed it was at this time when Emperor Cain contacted Hyuga. How Emperor Cain selected Hyuga to be the "Guardian Angel" who was to watch over the Contact (Fei) was not explained. Maybe it was because Hyuga was more neutral compared to the rest of the Ex-Elements and furthermore he was also Animus. It was however evident that Hyuga was loyal to the Emperor and not the Solarian empire. This is purely speculation on my part but I believe that Hyuga was able to speak and report to Emperor Cain through his dreams.
