Kahran (Carlin) Ramsus was actually a test-tube baby created by Krelian as a substitute Contact. Cain's DNA was used as the basis for his genetic structure and I believe that Krelian also contributed his own DNA. Ramsus thought that he was destined for greatness but his dreams were soon crushed into dust. Even though at that time, he was only an embryo in a glass chamber, he already possessed an awareness of his environment. Ramsus heard the conversation between Karen (Fei's mother as well as one of Miang's persona) and Krelian. Karen told Krelian that the true Contact (Fei) had been found so they did not need Ramsus anymore. He was then thrown away into the rubbish heap being now a useless piece of garbage. This became one of the reasons why he hated Fei and strived for the cause of those who were no well-borned. It was not known how Ramsus managed to survive being dumped into the trash. It is my guess that he evolved quickly and adapted himself to live or someone, a Lamb or Second Class citizen, found him and took care of him. Ramsus got into Jugend and graduated together with Shitan/Hyuga and Sigurd. Ramsus was an Air Element and he rose swiftly through the ranks of the military. He was probably a commander of Solaris' air forces before becoming the Commander in Chief for the Gebler troops in Aveh. The other three Elements were firm supporters of his ideal for equal opportunities for all regardless based on ability instead of birthrights. Yet Ramsus held the old beliefs of Solaris - Lambs are still worthless. Disillusioned, Jessiah and the rest left him one after the other. Even though there were more personal reasons behind their leaving, Ramsus did not see this being blinded by the thought that they were abandoning and betraying him. He personally selected and trained their replacements - Dominia (Earth), Kelvina (Water), Seraphita (Fire) and Tolone (Air). Perhaps it was out of gratefullness to Ramsus for rescuing them from the Labs, these four girls were extremely loyal to him. Especially Dominia and it is suspected that she was actually secretly in love with him. He was grievously injured by the Contact (Id/Fei) in the battle of Elru. The Solarians thought they could control Id and use him as a weapon but they made a deadly mistake. In the battle both Elru and the Solarian army were eradicated by the wild powers of Id. His defeat at the hands of Id haunted Ramsus, giving him nightmares. These nightmares increased in frequency when he encounters Fei for the first time as his sub-conscious recognized Id who was a part of Fei. This was the other reason why Ramsus felt so antagonized every time he suffers a defeat at Fei's hands since it just strengthened the perception that he was useless and a "reject". Ramsus was also the one who killed the Emperor Cain, achieving what the Gazel Ministry and Krelian could not do. The Ministry no longer had a physical body and since Cain was one of the first born of the Mother, it could only take an equal to remove him. Ramsus bearing his genes was the perfect tool. It was not until the Desus resurrection that Ramsus discovered the truth about himself and the lies he had been told. Krelian revealed the true nature of Miang and how together they had made him what he was, a pawn in their game to revive Desus. Broken by the truth, he killed Krelian and Miang. Nothing is known on what happened to him after this besides the little scene at Shevat where he finds absolution.
