Jesse is the last of the former Elements from Solaris. Not much is revealed about his past, aside from the fact that he was once in line for command of Gebler, and that he was the person to pull Sigurd out of Krelian's labs. He left Solaris with his wife - Raquel - to escape the tyranny of the country, and the pursuit of his rival, Stein. Once he reached the surface, he just 'disappeared'. He and Raquel set their home up in the Aquavy territory; Primera was born soon after. (I'm not sure about Billy -- the Elements couldn't have left Solaris that long ago -- less than ten years before the game -- but it says he was born in Aquavy in the manual. Maybe it's wrong? He remembered Sigurd too, and that points to Solaris.) But Jesse just disappeared again not long after that, this time not even telling Raquel where he was going. He was gone for years -- probably fighting the Ethos, or Solaris -- (or maybe he returned to Solaris? That would straighten out the timeline) and when he returned, Raquel was dead and his son was an Etone. Primera still loved him, but he had a harder time convincing Billy to accept him. During a visit to the Thames little Primera was ambushed by a few obnoxious pirates, and Elly convinced them to leave. When he saw the uniform he immediately threatened to shoot her, but once he realized she was no longer with Solaris, he joined the party along with Billy. (It's a shame he's only an NPC.) (Any other information on Jesse is available in the "Spoilers!" section.) (Everything below is either my opinion or speculation) Heh heh..... I have to say that the most memorable "Jesse" moment was the scene where he put a gun to Elly's head. ^^ He threatened to execute her of all things! It's a good thing Billy stopped him...... There's a drawing by a friend of mine in the Fan Art section that illustrates this scene...... There really isn't much else to say. Shitan and Sigurd still seem to defer to him (even calling him "sir" at one point) but he is no longer affiliated with Solaris -- unlike some characters, whose names won't be mentioned. ^_~
